There are numerous overweight (3.3 - 3.5g) 1941 cents with an excessive amount of tin and zinc in the alloy. I have three in my collection and have owned others. The most prosaic explanation is that the planchets are derived from rolled-thick strip with a reduced copper fraction. A rolled-thick, improper alloy mix error, if you will. I have to assume that the smaller number of 1942 cent with these characteristics stem from the same cause. I picked all of mine up for $50 or less. So, $45,000 is a bit rich. The 1942 Ecuador 10 centavos is supposed to weigh 3 grams, so it isn't a great match.
Error coin writer and researcher.
