I have not seen any 2000 p Lincoln Cents where a and m are not actually touching.

That is a CAM. Just look at the FG initials and the TAT in STATES.
The A does not have to be touching the M to be a CAM.

Best indicator is the FG initials - close to the base = WAM
far from base = CAM

It's a CAM for sure.

I think the easiest diagnostic to see is the spacing of the TAT in STATES.

If the A is centered between the two T then it's a WAM. If the A is closer to the 2nd T (as your coin is) then it's a CAM.

The spacing between the AM of AMERICA can vary based on die wearing is not a solid diagnostic to use.

I agree with the group. Touching or not touching does not make it. WAM has the A centered.
