Better a deluge than a fire, imho.
Wet stuff can often be dried out.
Burnt stuff= throw it out.

Also, it is hard to imagine folks are asking for wheat cents.
I still find them in change here, and in bank rolls.
It just takes patience, paying for small purchases in cash,
friendly tellers, and always checking your change.
I would be happy to swap or sell some of my wheat stash.
Only problem is, postage nowadays exceeds the value of small transactions.
