2016 Shield Cent - REV Strike Error ?

Spence Moderator United States 34525 Posts	Posted 02/15/2026 8:41 pm @cba, it looks to me like another cent was resting on this one and the pair were exposed to some sort of environmental conditions (e.g. in water at the bottom of a fountain) which resulted in a deposit or transfer of matter to the surface of this coin. I don't believe that arcuate mark is a mint error, despite it being raised.
