1883 Liberty Nickel W/Cents - Authentic? Value?

I suggest it grades in the VF20 range. A fair retail price would be more like $45.

But as a type coin for your 7070 you can do a lot better for less money if you choose a date from 1900 through 1912.

In that date range you can find mid-AU examples for ~$50.

Here's a much nicer AU w/cents listed as Buy it Now for $40 or best offer, $6 shipping.

I agree with above. Definitely a pass.

Do NOT pay that much for an 83 no cents.
These coins can regularly found in really nice shape for 20-30 dollars or less.
The one I got initially cost I think like 15 bucks and to be honest I think it looks better than this.

I've already decided to pass. But I was looking at one WITH Cents.


I'm good at waiting and have a saved search for this one. But, based on the SOLD listings you posted, I may need to raise my maximum in the search (presently at $50) to get a coin I'll be happy with.
I was patient for at least 6-months waiting for the one US Mint Set missing from my collection. Just received it in the mail yesterday. :^) At least when it comes to those, I have a decent handle on what a good price is.
I know it's not a race. And I appreciate all feedback. Any time I am considering something that costs more than a few dollars, I'll run it by the good folks at CCF.
