So I'm Now Getting Examined For Possible Prostate Cancer

Dearborn Moderator United States 101124 Posts	Posted 07/31/2026 12:48 pm during my Hospital stay back in May I'm In The Hospital. the hospital did an MRI exam of my pelvic region and they noticed some spots on my prostrate. 2 weeks ago I had another MRI to see if the spots went away after that massive infection - they did not. One is 1 cm long and another is 2 cm (same size as before). While I was in the hospital, they took blood and my PSA measured at 7.7 (high, but not crazy high). Yesterday at my Urology consult appt they did another blood test (still waiting on my PSA results). I'm scheduled for a biopsy next month. but on a high point my vital stats are in GREAT shape Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. My PSA was/is elevated 7.65, slightly enlarged prostate, MRI Pi-Rads score overall 3 with one pea-sized lesion which got a Pi-Rads score of 4. 4Kscore = 40 suggesting aggressive cancer, which sounded very scary, so I ended up having (12) biopsies and all came back negative. The small spots your MRI detected is probably associated to BPH aka enlarged prostate. I wouldn't worry about it but good luck with the biopsies, hopefully they come back negative.
