PCGS - Lincoln Cents are among the most popular coins to collect and offer many varieties. Wide AM and Close AM refer to the distance between the A and the M in AMERICA on certain Lincoln Cents. But there are other diagnostics these pieces offer that you can learn more about here.

Is that video correct? The Wide AM for 1988 and 1999 are described as using the proof reverses. I thought the Close and Wide AM varieties were transitional varieties of business strike coins. i.e. the variety is 1988 reverse of 1989, not 1988 with proof reverse.
