I vote no on the RPM, if you view makecents illustration I feel the "re-punch" is visible on the west side of the S's center curve.

Quote: read what I last posted above. I did before posting and understand if not agree with your point, but for now I'll stand by VVs listing and feel maybe this listing needs to be viewed in-hand to clearly see it. Like BrandM stated better photos would prove/show it better.

Having a difference of opinion is what makes the world a better place. I am a big backer of Dr. Wiles but it does not add up.... Refer to Occam's razor for my thought process on this.

Interesting discussion on whether or not the RPM even exists. Still - great find of an impaired proof in the wild.

Thank You, nickelsearcher
As I've said before, I'm not very good with RPM's to start with! I sure hope attribution services start up again soon at Wexler. I'm getting a pretty big group of coins to send in! As with some other coins in the past, I will update this post with results - whenever that happens!
Again, whether by posting a response or just reading all of them, Thank You to everyone who has taken the time to participate in this post. All the comments and opinions ultimately help me learn how to be slightly more critical in my assessment of every coin I look at

Great discussion and refreshing not to see everyone jumping in the conclusion right away, I agree with both @ Brandmeister and makecents , I also do not see RPM on this coin but it is always exciting to find a Proof in the wild.

I take my original comment back. I agree with makecents and Brandmeister. They're right.

I think of one coin I posted early on, where I was adamant about it being a strike through, though no one agreed. Now I look at it, and just SMH at myself! V.V. and Wexler don't always agree (or update?) some listings. In particular, 2001-P N.C. quarter. V.V. has it listed as a DDO, Wexler has it listed as a Die Clash. http://www.varietyvista.com/09c%20W...0quarter.htmhttps://doubleddie.com/186322.html

No worries, snailking1. I'm wrong sometimes too. I am no expert by any means. Quote:V.V. and Wexler don't always agree (or update?) some listings. In particular, 2001-P N.C. quarter. I agree with Wexler.
