i;m fairly certain it hasnt been cleaned. at worst it had a light dip. the coin looks MS with some weak areas in strike on the reverse center.
MS62 maybe 63 on grade.

Nice looking example. A TPG would probably give it a straight MS grade. |

The reverse area below the eagle looks a little funky, may be just the lighting, but I'm going to say cleaned.

I don't think it has been cleaned. I am wondering if this was lightly circulated, AU-58. I'm looking at the high cheek under the eye, behind the nose.

Luster looks good, few contact marks, slight strike weakness on eagle talons and upper legs. No hairlines or obvious signs of cleaning that I see. MS-64 seems possible. Very nice Barber half!

Looks MS63 to me. AU58 if the marks on the cheek are actually rub. Coin looks dipped but market acceptable.

I wonder if it has been through PVC conservation. There is a distinct but light green tinge on the obverse at the cheek and in the leaves and more heavily on the reverse in the lower shield and the eagle's inner left wing feathers (our visual right). The cheek and leaves show fine pitting, which could also be consistent with PVC damage.
The strike is pretty flat, and that can make it hard to distinguish from light circulation. Overall, to my eyes this looks like a lower MS grade coin. That said, there is quite a bit of rub on the cheek. I see too many questions with this coin. The 1915-S isn't rare, and there are definitely better problem-free examples out there.
