If you have a lot of world coins, you may have others from the Arabic speaking world. This chart can be helpful for denominations (you'll quickly see 25 in Arabic in the center of your coin) and dates. https://madinahmedia.com/what-is-we...bic-numerals You'll see that Syria is one of the places that often dated its coins in both the Hijri (Islamic) and Gregorian (Christian) calendars though on this one it's all in Arabic numerals. I hate to be that "Well Actually" guy, but, well, actually... The bird on this old Syrian coat of arms - as well as much the same design featuring on the arms of Libya, Jordan, and the Palestinian Liberation Army - is the Hawk of Quraish. It is kind of similar in design to the Eagle of Saladin, which is used by some other countries (Egypt, Iraq, Yemen and the Palestinian Authority) but the meaning is different; the choice of either hawk or eagle is significant to Arabs, symbolising different ideals and goals when it comes to emphasising either Arab Nationalism (for the hawk) versus Arab Unity (for the eagle).
