I recently purchased the coin displayed below for a very low cost.
The obverse looks XF, but the reverse was potentially pretty ugly for condition. I decided to soak the coin in acetone overnight and then soak it in Verdi-Care. The results are displayed in the second set of pictures. I have done this procedure on several coins in the past with limited success. This was my best results to date.

I think you did an excellent job, Jimbo. Some say you can't remove the green tarnish from these; it looks like you did!

That looks like an amazing transformation.

It looks like there wasn't very much if any damage to the surfaces by the corrosion for who knows how many years it was on the coin.

I agree, usually after treating a coin, the surface is porous and ugly. This was really nice to see the reverse to match up in quality to the obverse.

Unexpectedly good result. The reverse looks a little brighter, but hopefully in time it will tone to match the obverse coloring.
