it's worth watching, especially if you live in a bigger city with substantial homeless population & you don't live too far away from the pizza joint. I'm sure the pizza people here are thinking some homeless person will nab them, but they likely don't care who gets them as long as someone takes them. at least they don't go to waste. by the way, the CEO wanted me to mention this: First Pink Savings cares.

tonight I picked $1.10 over 5 stops... 3 quarters, 3 nickels and 2 dimes... no zincolns. that's only the 4th night of $1+ this month. i topped-off a full tube of nickels and added it to the bank bag, bringing cycle 22's total to $75. $69 to go to achieve $5K.

tonight was one of those nights when it was time to implement the 'never-say-die' attitude. i had just ninety-six cents in my pocket when I had come to the end of the route. I hate getting that close to the dollar mark and coming up short. my night wasn't over. I needed to pedal in the other direction to go to the downtown branch of my fiat bank to extract some cash, which I did. along the way I cruised by numerous places looking for errant coin or cash and found nothing. after my visit to the atm I headed for home (apx. 1:40am). again, I cruised by a number of places looking for errant coin or cash. finally, one of the last places I rolled by I spotted a single quarter on the sidewalk in front of Old Town Laundry. $1.21 on the night. never say die.

yes. I am committed to hitting that $5K-mark. it's just a matter of time. I'm curious to see how many more cycles I can complete before the alleged 'flight into Au/Ag' manifests.

tonight I picked a well-scattered $1.79, all coins. among the coins were one of the jefferson/liberty bell quarters (no privy), so those have shown up on the island, and a 1953-D LWC. sixth night of the month & third consecutive night of $1+. the quest for $5K continues.

it seems the inflation + what i'll call a deceptive economy doesn't seem to be bothering anyone so much that they aren't yet completely dissuaded from chucking their change. I'm still finding it, albeit it at lower amounts overall, which I generally chalk-up to people using cash & coin less, mostly preferring to using debit cards or moving their funds around via phone apps. i notice Au/Ag are on the rise again. I understand there are numerous reasons for it, but with so many people jammed into a narrow variety of stocks, over-leveraged & on margin, and so many cracks in the foundation of the financial system, it's hard to point at just one potential straw that snaps the camel's back. the next crisis could literally be anything. the people dropping or tossing their change aren't thinking about the next crisis, but I am. my bag of treasure is becoming a small, but significant insurance policy. it's being funded by people who have no sense of value ('cents of value', anyone? ), a very unwise mindset. i received an email the other day, a 'job alert', but attached to it (maybe it was an ad, I can't remember) was an announcement the Our Dear Leader has issued another round of stimulus checks. does anyone know if that's true? just curious, as I really don't look at 'the news'. I haven't yet accepted a stimulus check and I don't want one. I'm okay with people losing & throwing away their money. it's good for First Pink Savings.
