I bought this dime because I love the Bluenose Schooner. She is a beautiful ship.
With that said, I'm not good at grading coins and maybe someone here could do that.
I'm thinking AU.
The fields are nice and shiny and the raised areas look to be without wear.

I agree. It does look polished. If so, it's a details coin.

What would cue you into it being cleaned? To me it looks shiny. Would it be micro abrasions that I can't see?

Basically a coin that won't straight grade because of problems/issues like being cleaned, polished, corroded, damaged, etc. They're also worth way less than a coin that has no problems/issues. It's not a good thing. It's bad.

Nice piece. Yes, likely to have been cleaned at some point. Looks to have some 'light' circulation dings. That nick on the reverse rim isn't helping. I'm thinking high end XF, possible low AU.
