Okay, I've been going through my collection, and I came across this. Not sure which way is the right way up. I did a search on copilot which said
"A 1920 Shivaji commemorative 1 paisa token from Maharashtra, India"
But I can't find anything else about this. It said something completely different before, which is clearly wasn't.
What is this? Is it just a local token? Was it official currency? Can it be found on Numista?
I don't know where I got this coin from. I don't have anything else like it. No known people who went to British India in the army or anything like that.
Rather than believing AI, a better solution would be to post the weight and diameter of the coin. That information could help us narrow this down. Thx.
