So the standard 1889 10c weighs 2.33 grams and is 1mm thick. Mine is 3.43 grams and is 2mm thick. It is none metallic, and passes the silver ice test. Google says its not possible to have a thicker and heaver coin and that it is counterfeit. Any thoughts? Thank you. Report this Post to the Staff

Here are some better photos, I hope. I Thought I saw a seam also but now I'm not sure. I wish I could afford an XRF machine. The second coin is just for comparison.
