In RB and RD Lincoln Wheat Cents present the striation pattern common to brown wheat cents. Is this coin presenting wood grain stripes but with gold lines?

that looks like a lamination from the rim. And yes, possibly a bad alloy mix.

I would say definitely a bad alloy (I have one very similar) and possibly to likely a lamination, from the provided pictures. I'd need a closeup of the location from the obverse to be more certain, the shadow in the side shot makes it hard to tell where the metal is.
