This is the 3rd of a few coins that I purchased as part of a collection that I would like your opinion on. Please tell me your honest assessment of the grade. Thanks for your assistance!

Wow wonderful reverse, shame about the obverse looks like wipe marks on the field behind Abe's head and a fingerprint forming/toning.
IMO MS-65 (minimum) and if true about the "wipe" Details
Still a great addition any of us would love to have.

Dang, lucky you! This is a holy grail coin that I've searched for in the wild for decades. I would attempt a mild conservation to see how that obverse gunk responds. That's worth a whole grade point if it comes off.

I'll say MS-64. Nice coin! I have found one of these in the wild a few years ago. It's in AU condition.

Thank you all for your comments and opinions. I did run it through a short acetone bath and rinse but only saw slight improvement. After taking a closer look at the area in question I wonder if the die was aggressively polished to get rid of a clash? There are still remnants of a clash on the back of Lincoln's neck. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think. Thanks

There's definitely some die polishing going on. It appears that there's a remnant of a Die Clash that the mint worker missed.
