Athens, Attica AR Tetradrachm, 454-404 BC. O: Head of Athena wearing crested Attic helmet. R: AΘE, owl standing right, head facing, crescent and olive-sprig behind, all within incuse square. SNG Cop 31-40; Sear 2526. 17.3 g, 23mm. This one was obviously a big deal historically, but this is really a big deal for my collection. I've been collecting off and on for 15 years now and never thought I would own one. It looks amazing, the high relief is fantastic, I have to run my fingers over it and feel the devices as I'm looking at it. Feels great in the palm of your hand also. I let my wife check it out; she isn't into coins at all but she summed it up pretty good, "Oh wow, it's pretty...and heavy".
