Any help with this Morgan 1878-S would be appreciated. It's toned. How would you grade this?

AU-55 or 58, maybe an old cleaning? Maybe the lighting is making it look duller. This is VAM-84. Its nice for a AU!

Did you go to "Morgan VAMs by date" or were you just looking at top 100?

Thanks for the comments and VAM-84 identification. I went to find it in PCGS CoinFacts and it did not show up there. I was trying to see what the premium was for the VAM-84 hi

It's def not cleaned. 55, but a plus grade seems likely. Toning looks natural, at least to me. As a rule probably 95% of VAMS don't have any premium.

AU55

not a fan of the toning, however, its not bad enough to drop the grade. based on the color and dull surfaces, especially in photo 3 of the obv. leads me to believe it was improperly stored for an extended period of time and may have been dipped and not rinsed and dry before storing it.
