I put together a grade set with the intent of setting up a Lincoln wheat grading webpage. Nobody has done it that I'm aware of. 1909 is THE BEST year to show photos of the various grades - the master dies/hubs were brand new. It's the reference/baseline point of how Lincoln wheats should look.

This toner is among my favorite coins in my collection. It's very silver in appearance with absolutely blazing luster. I found this raw jewel at a coin show, it even has matte-like fields. I didn't even care about the price - take my money.

So many MS examples were stashed away that today we have a lot of stunning VDB toners and MPL coins - it's amazing. Another reason I love them, I just couldn't turn away coins like this when I managed to find them. This one shines like the sun under light, that's what caught my eye even though it has some carbon.
