Hi all! I'm sure a few people may have noticed that I basically haven't been active much in here lately. I'm kind of going through a huge mental health crisis due to recent, personal events in my life. I basically don't do much with coins anymore because I don't have the emotional energy to put into the hobby at the moment like I previously did because of everything going on. I actually ended up selling a bunch of my collections and basically just stopped caring. I've basically been working on upgrading my Memorial cents here and there and just adding different nickels, mostly Jeffersons. Outside of that... Nothing really. Outside of that... I'm still around, though! Lol. Just thought I'd say hi! *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Thank you all. I'm going through what could be considered an "identity crisis." I won't get into anything specifically, as it's quite a hot button topic, but the core concepts of who I am as a person, always have been, and want to be have been called into question in the past six months. I'm also working with a therapist for all this and to that extent it's been very helpful, but yeah, it has been a huge emotional rollercoaster, quite distressing, and haven't really been able to focus on much else honestly, including coins.

Quote: I admire your courage and openness and wish you all the best as you search for the answers that will sustain you Thank you. I am trying. It is not an easy thing to do on it's own, and then add the fact that there are negative stereotypes and narratives, as well as a general hostility towards people that are going through what I have gone through right now and it becomes even harder.

Quote: negative stereotypes and narratives @Humanist1287 As someone who has spent 48 years in a wheelchair I can empathize with that struggle. Don't let anyone define you. You are strong and you will define your own future. One day at a time, one foot in front of another, you will get there. You have alot of support here.
