Charlton suggests some of these notes may have been cut using scissors. If so this one was done quickly I am no expert at currency grading but my thought was maybe Good or less. I also think this is the large B variety but would appreciate confirmation.

These were printed in sheets of 10 and were cut at the bank.
It is likely that some were cut with scissors instead of a paper cutter.
And yes, yours is the large B variety.

Just read my comments for your 1900 shinplaster. Although these notes were hand-cut, your note looks like it was further trimmed on the top border. The note does not look Good to me but at least VG to Fine. The reason I say this is that the design is completely visible without much damage (creases) yet looks somewhat diminished (ink intensity is low).

So the apparent issues are: it has likely been trimmed & the design looks faded (esp on the reverse). It appears as if it were mounted (or exposed to light). Hope that helps!
