Lovely notes CollegeBarbers and walk2dwater! I've got the Manx and Costa Rican tyvek notes but none of the Haitian set. When I was in Costa Rica in late 1984 / early 1985 the tyvek ones were very common in change and looking back I should have saved more. The newest 20-Colon notes however were all the paper variety! Very nice, guys! It's interesting to hear that the Tyvek notes were common in change. It goes to show they could've been successful! Dominican Republic to Nicaragua - 2019 20 Córdobas P-210a

CollegeBarbers - I've always been puzzled by reports that the tyvek notes didn't stand up well to the climate, as I never remember seeing one in really bad condition, although they often got very creased. Interesting contextual info Rob! Don't feel bad for not picking up notes back then: I lived in Jamaica for 2 years & only brought back a ragged $20 (last minute). By the time I got to Costa Rica all they had was the 1000 polymer & most of those notes you're talking about were coins. Glad I went though as it was absolutely stunning for nature (we stayed at a national park reserve). Honduras to Guatemala1993 P-88 5 Quetzales

Great banknotes, everyone! If it's anything like the U.S., it's because the industry that supplied banknote paper didn't want the competition. Mexico to Peru - 1973 100 Soles de Oro P-102c
