Here's another large/small date comparison The literature says the 3 things to look for with this variety are:
- The tail of the 6 in the Large Date is much longer than that of the small date
- The top of the 1 in the Small Date is level with the top of the 9. In the Large Date the top of the 1 is below the top of the 9
- The 0 is perfectly round the Large Date. In the small date the 0 is skinnier
I think this could be an example of a small date. In the comparison below the large date is on top and the small date below. What do you think?

Yes, you have one of each. Easy enough to tell the difference, I just look at the O, if it is round, it is a large date, if it is oval, it is a small date.

Quote: Yes, you have one of each Thanks @JimmyD you have much better eyes than I do. The only difference I see in the O's is that the small date O looks a little smaller to me. I'm using a 10x triplet loupe to look at them too.

All I know is the 1960 Small Date from Philly is the least minted of the 1960's cents, so I try to collect those the most.

Quote: 1960 Small Date from Philly Thanks @JennyCents I examined a few of those but did not find anything. I may have a few more. Appreciate the tip. Quote: Here is a link that will help you Appreciate the link @-makecents- I didn't realize there were so many other features. One of those coin microscopes might come in handy when you really need to get close. With all the pennies I have I could probably spend another lifetime examining them.

Quote: @CoinFoI went back and checked - no luck but yours looks great. A little info on these DDO's :
There are 3 different varieties for the 1960: DDO-001 (FS-101), DDO-002 (FS-102), and DDO-003 (FS-103). My 1960-D DDO Lincoln Cent pictures above seem to be the DDO-002 version, but PCGS labeled it as a DDO-001 variety. Keep hunting; they are out there. Good luck !
