are 1939 nickels silver? I just got one out of pocket change. if so what it the bullion value of the coin?

The silver nickels were made from 1942 to 1945, so the bullion value of a 1939 nickel is only five cents.

Come on Lafaa. You know better than that.You were active in a threat about silver nickels before.42-45.There have been whispers of 44's struck in nickel.I have heard of 48's plain being hit with silver comp. but I don't know.

The 1942 P & 1942 S are silver the 1942 & 1942 D are not
