Hello all - I'm no expert at all on errors, but noticed this 'bump' on a 2010 Shield penny from the roll I busted to look for abnormalities. It is the only one like it from the roll.

Please provide your input as to what would have caused the bump at the 5:30 position below the last 0 in 2010. It is raised, not an indent. Thanks, and sorry I don't have better pics.

Hard to tell from the pic, but I would lean towards bubble over a chip as well.

Could be a gas bubble or a die dent. Impossible to tell from your photo.

Assuming I'm supposed to try and pop it?

Nope - no pop. Pushed down from several angles.....even with fingernail....feels solid.

Yes, take a tooth pick and press the spot. If it pops, it's a gas bubble. John1

Too late. Released the cent into circulation.

Toothpick method moved the bubble - and enlarged it. I didn't pop it, but figured its just a gas bubble and will pop on its own soon enough.
