From what I could find on google and a few translation sites, it is a latin inscription. I could only get a partial translation though: orpora jvncta faithful of one mind vigorous c. Sorry I couldn't do better. It does seem to have something to do with marriage though.

The legend starts at the top - "c" goes with "orpora", thus: unanimi vigeant corpora juncta fide, which I would translate as "living in harmony, joined into one body by faith". It doesn't seem to be a direct quote of Latin scripture but my translation and the imagery both seem to imply some kind of religious marriage theme.

I know some married people who think they deserve a medal for staying married...
