I've got 3+ rolls of 70-s taken out of circulation here in Indiana. I got to go through them again with this better info for ID-ing the small date... thanks!

Dottir - You go ahead and search yours out. I'll sit this one out. I have more fun cherrying the BU examples from shows for 50 cents, the proof singles for a buck, and the small date proof sets for $11. I mean, really...

From circulation - over a million coins searched, and I found one - ONE - AU example.

15 years of shows have yielded 31 BU examples cherried at less than a buck each, 14 small date mint sets cherried, 16 proof cherries including four doubled dies, and over 30 proof sets cherried at large date prices. I have a LOT more fun pulling these at shows!! And what's more, I have over a half ROLL of small dates in red BU condition to show for it!

Ok Coppercoins, the race is off, and no wonder I have to stick to roll and change from stores searching unless circumstances change :) I really enjoy the searching rolls though, always like the thrill of never know.

I'm in Northeast Michigan and I found it in a roll of mixed dates that I got from the bank. I buy boxes of cents from local banks and search for errors and varieties and such. Thanks for the interest,
John1
