1945V Valued Member Canada 386 Posts	Posted 07/03/2011 11:09 am I just found some 2011 magnetic pennies today. Does anyone know what percentage are magnetic and non-magnetic ? To date I have been only finding 2011 non-magnetic pennies I (copper plated zinc) and did not know 2011 magnetic version (copper plated steel) pennies existed. Basically, cost and availability. At certain times the zinc blanks are less costly and/or more available, and at certain times the steel blanks are less costly and/or more available.
