Namachieli Pillar of the Community United States 2120 Posts	Posted 10/14/2011 6:20 pm surprising huh. I think a few people thought it was AU and a lot of people followed suit. I understand because its hard to tell between AU55 and MS64 from a photo. But this grades IMO MS-64 (as well as the three other dealers I took it to at the show). The luster is incredible in hand and has a very strong strike compared to most coins in the year. It also has some very light, even tonig, which suggested to me that its very likely original surface and hasn't been dipped. That along with the Epic die clashes I figured, even if a TPG called it an MS63, I would still be happy paying $600. I also felt good because the dealer I bought it from paid $575 for it. The dealer is a good friend of mine so I know he wasn't lying. He had a $665 price tag on it. The photo was one of the first ones I did with my new Camera and it was shot through the Air Tite it was in, which created a small bit of chatter. Report this Post to the Staff

I really regretted my guess right after I sent it in. I though my guess was going to be one of the lower guesses. Then once lower guesses started rolling in I thought maybe I was missing something. The coin looks fantastic in the picture, I can only imagine what it looks like in hand! Report this Post to the Staff
