Hi I'm a new member here and also a new coin collector, can u guys offer any tips on how to find these things? I 've been looking through my work till, but it seems that I can never find them coupled with the fear of my managers thinking I'm a weird guy, bending over so closely to coins..:P Any tips would be greatly appreciated, cause I really really want to get one.. Thx for your time.

1. If you can afford it go to your Bank & get a bag of 1000 $1 coins, (or as many as you can afford) take them home & check them all. Hint, take the checked coins back to a different branch of the bank, so you stand less chance of getting back coins you've already checked if you get another bag from your branch.
2. Alternatively, go to a Casino or club, wherever there are poker machines, get as many $1's in change from the desk as you can afford and check them.
3. Put some notes into a pokie & take it out straight away in $1's, go & check them.

And thx nancy for that excellent advice, but I'm not so rich, so I might get like 100 of $1 XD <<<Edited by tights24 to remove buy/sell/trade reference from newer member. Please see our Rules here.>>>

I have none at the moment, I keep my eyes peeled at work for anything including rabbit ears, but am yet to find one... Hopefully it will happen soon, Just wish I had more time at work, way to busy with other things then to get much of a look at the coins that come through.

my chances of finding one look slimmer and slimmer, but if I see any 1994s I'm gonna look extra hard at it!

They seem to be more common on the 84 and 94, however who knows there are a few years to keep your eye on it seems from Nancy's list. May have to see if they start turning up more in the 08 or not.

There's also a 1985 $1 rabbit, but I don't have any of them. Very hard to find!
