If the scratches are only light surface scratches try using normal car cut & polish to remove them.

Read about it here http://www.australian-threepence.com/blog/tpgs/
If you want to retain the original case this might be worth a try.

a friend who has used epoxy resins thinks the scartches can be filled and then rebuffed to get the clearness, he just isn't sure what the new resin would do to the old case, ie if it would melt it or react wrongly. but I'm not scratching one to let him try lol

I love the look of this coin - off to check ebay. I've bought several kooks for $42 - 45 in the states. I have 1991, 1996 and 2012. I want to get the whole set and would like to get some of the roos too. Is ebay and the secondary market the only ways to purchase these in the states?

ebay has to many fakes for me, try trading with Australian people that stack silver. I do, the kooks are a great design, I also love the Canadian wildlife series, although I don't have any, looks like I need to go get a few :D

How can you tell if a roo is fake? I ordered one that was in Poland. Should I be worried?

I finally have 50+ posts and can buy on this site. I would love to be able to buy kooks and the roo at sunset. If anyone has coins they are selling or want to trade please let me know.

I have one of these and they are a great looking coin.
My favorite 1 dollar coin however is the 2008 Coat of arms coin
