people will be so stupid to pay that price.
I am thinking of buying another set (my local dealer can give me for $30) and keep the 50c one since I am collecting only 50c. Anyone there wants to share the rest of them, if we have enough people, so we can share the price. let me know

Erkle; I don't have a link, but last night seen the 2012 50c gold plated proof from the proof set - selling singularly - for $178 with like an hour to go.
People are morons, and have too much money and no sense.

I am not sure is the people winning bid confused the single coin and the set. This price plus delivery fee will exceed the price of a new set.

Here is the link to the gold plated 50c. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-50-cen...em2a18c7b746In the end sold for $196 including postage For that money the buyer could have gone to his local post office bought an entire 2012 Proof set, a 2012 Mint set and still got change. [shakes head]

what the... I can't understand, I DON'T WANT TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD ANYMORE! people REALLY need to research what they are buying before they bid! that's it, tomorrow I'm quitting my job, going to the RAM and picking up 200 proof sets and selling the 50c pieces on ebay.

? ? ? The only thing I can think of is that people don't want to pull the sets apart to get the 50c
I have bought 89 20c from the seller before and I don't believe that they would push the price up of there own coins, I got a cheap coin.

Yes we can see the photo but that shows nothing. Can you describe to us what we are meant to be looking at?

yes note the regular 50 cent coin has two coloured crowns; one small, one large; on the two closely numbered sets I have, the printing on the smaller crown is not there, hope this helps
