The 2011-2012 RAM Annual Report should be out next month, so mintage figures in it might be final, but you never know for certain until the following report is available.
I've seen mintage figures coins spread over 3 years of reports.

Pretty close. My noodling pool of coins come from all around the south coast of NSW. I won't get too excited about this coin as I was really excited when I found my first 2011 20 cent platypus coin, now every 10th coin I find is a 2011 platypus.
Thanks for the info Nancy. I seem to be finding a lot more 2010 $1 mob of roos coins lately in very high grade condition. Is it possible that the mint has released more of these coins recently? TCH

Found two shiny "mob of roo" 2011 coins during noodling of $1 rolls from a Melbourne CBD National Bank last night.
Released them back into "the financial ocean" !

I would say it is more likely chub or armaguard have released a store of 2010 dated coins but it may be the mint.

I have $400 of 50¢ to pick up from the bank tomorrow. So, noodling has not actually started this week. However, my wife emptied her purse of loose change this morning and this was in there... I put it at EF [very slight wear, negligble marking and good strike and underlying lustre showing] but the staining is a major detracting factor. I wonder what has been spilt on it? I already have a 1985 I found a few years ago and it has slightly more wear and noticeable marking but clean, tidy appearance -it looks more attractive to me but is not really as good a coin for physical condition. How to decide between them?I will get some scans of the other one up soon and opinions are welcome. Also, one will go. Let me know if you are interested. Jeff

Nice find! I would always keep the one with more eye appeal rather than the one which has a better technical grade.

Well here is my earlier 1986 find... Now, what do you think? I am inclining to the opinion the new, stained one didn't escape into circulation but may have been released! Jeff

found a 1986 50 cent today and a quick grade assessment is aUNC condition. I'll take a photo of it and notice all the flaws and probably revise this grading. TCH
