ichirensha Quote: Are there any bird coins from the US that you are looking for? Hi ichirensha, Thanks for the offer. I could do with one each of these quarters: Arkansas California Minnesota Oklahoma N. Marianas Is Chickasaw I actually do have them, but I prefer to leave them in my Quarter Collections, so if I get another of each, I can have them in 2 collections. Mint is not important. Would you like some Aussie coins as a trade? Or anything else?

I'll do some roll searching this week and probably be able to put most of those quarters together for you. Now you got me interested; so, I took a look at my quarters to see which ones had birds. There were alot more birds on our quarters than I thought, too. South Carolina, Louisiana, Arkansas, Minnesota, California, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Idaho, US Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands all have birds. Even Maine has a couple of very small sea gulls flying above a ship. I also have a 1972 Ike with an eagle on the reverse if you need one. I'll see what I can put together and pm you.

Thanks! I missed the Maine one, so you can add that to my list please, but I had a spare of each of the others you mentioned. I'd appreciate the Ike too. Cheers, Nancy

Nancy, when I saw some of your birds "stuck in the corner" of a coat of arms I started wondering, how tiny is she willing to go? Well, I got my answer!

Quote: I hope I'm not boring anyone. You're not boring me--keep 'em coming! I was looking through my pics for birds and found a few but realized you hadn't gotten to those countries yet. Do you intend to show all the coins in your collection? If so I would be happy to see them all. And who knows, kind souls might mail you coins just for karma. The coins I thought of showing were the Mexican ones with the eagle holding the snake in its beak. There are also lots of ancient coins with birds that I'm sure our ancient friends can contribute images of. -wheatiefan

Quote: Do you intend to show all the coins in your collection? I sure do, but hey, please go ahead and post any Birdies you might have, that many less for me to do, and if I see any that I don't have, they get added to my want list. I'd love to see any ancients with bird on them. DVCollector got an Athenian Owl coin recently, it's beautiful! https://goccf.com/t/111886
