very nice wood work on that driftwood!
I do the same.
This one while not drift wood, I found this on top of a lava flow. it had grown in a circle before it finally died. (The light brown, shiny one that is.
The darker snarled one I pulled from Lake Pleasant - it is a tree root inverted and placed in side the circular one.

I have 2 much larger pieces I'm working on - one I had to bolt to an engine stand to work it.

(The last one is a work in progress)... not quite done with it.
