Better deal or not, the minute he agreed to the price the deal was done. Barring his trying to scam or play you it just falls down to pure integrity. If I make a deal with someone and get a better offer right after it doesn't matter to me. I will always keep my word on a deal. Their has only been one time that I have ever had to back out of a deal and it was due to a family emergency and I still feel bad for it.

I have made deals in the past and found out later that I overpaid before the transaction was made but I still kept with the deal because I consider it giving my word. Now getting scammed is a total different thing. I feel that the lack of integrity and respect today is what is or will lead to our downfall as a nation. Our instant gratification society and gutless majority is in my mind a major parenting fail. Too many people have not passed on good values to their children and it is a shame. It is not a direct effect of capitalism but a direct effect of lack of parenting. A failure we all have to pay for.

I have just started to teach my oldest boy (8 years old) about these values. He works for me in my reptile breeding operation and gets paid and treated just like any employee would. I even give him regular performance evaluations as well. When he buys stuff he makes his own deals (with me helping and explaining) and is also learning about savings. I hope in doing these things that I can impart on him a sense of values that will help him be successful, trustworthy, and respectable and will leave this country with one less punk kid to deal with.

Craigslist has gone down the pooper

I agree. You make a phone deal, with a firm price and people show up asking if you'll take half of the agreed price or people set up a meet and don't show...no call back ,they just don't show.Craigslist= CRAP.Good deals are few and far between....people have no integrity,no respect for themselves or others.
