Great coins svslav and nice pictures. i am still waiting for my 100 years of Australian coinage $1 coins to arrive, they do have a fantastic reverse. I am a big fan of the $5 coins I only have a few so far but they are great crown size coins and feel great in the hand

This is another of my favourites. It's not Aussie so I won't post a pic (to keep it pure ), but I think it's similar to the 100 years of Australian coinage $1. I'll just provide a link.

My first reaction was "what? I don't?" I had a definite recollection of having some kind of parliament house from your part of the world. Had to check my notes, and the P/House that I do have is on the NZ 1978 $1. So, you're right, and I appreciate your offer very much! Thanks and I hope I'll be able to return a favor.

Nice coins MOR. I don't know the reason but 1936 silver coins can be found in great shape compared to other years. That florin is real eye candy Silver and copper coins will always be my favorites, they just look and feel just right. The cu/N coins are nice but they don't have the allure of the silver and copper coins. The aluminium bronze coins however do have eye appeal and feel nice in the hand

Quote: I don't know the reason but 1936 silver coins can be found in great shape compared to other years. They have by far the largest mintage compared to other KGV florins at 5 million, also being the last year of King George V they were probably hoarded a lot more. It makes them one of the most affordable KGV florins to get in high grade.

Someone put a big satisfying check mark on the reverse of that 1950!

Yes unfortunately the large scratch does detract quite significantly but still an awesome OFF CENTRE strike.

Yes, it is still quite nice! I've seen a coin with a KM# scratched on it. Somebody IDed his/her coins very solidly.

A nice 1950-Y 1/2D I just got back from PCGS (MS64RB) - a surprisingly tough coin in this grade.
