Wow, I certainly would not have bid that high IMO, a Wisconsin extra leaf quarter would be worth multiple times the value of your coin so it would be a ridiculously good deal for you. However, be absolutely sure they are actually offering a genuine extra leaf and not something with a scratch or worse, an outright scam.

Here are the pictures he just sent me, my guess is that I can choose one or the other. Based on his ebay name and 2100 positive feedback on ebay I would guess he is legit.

Seeing as how I have 2 of the dimes, none of the quarters and really wasn't selling it for need of cash. I think this might be my best route. Which one would be the value for me?

Hi beachloan,

did you ever do the trade for the extra leaf Wisconsin quarter? I was checking the weekly auctions of my favorite error dealer when I saw something that made me think of you. One item he had for sale this week was a 2004-D Roosy dime with the curved gouge(FS-701), it was in a PCGS AU58 slab and sold for $40.

The problem is the "hype" never took with the 2004 D dime like it did with the Wisconsin quarters. Probably because no one ha a large number of them they could promote and advertise about. Odd as it sounds truly scarce or rare coins can't be effectively promoted, only common coins can be pushed to high prices by promotions.
