Thomas Jefferson set down three principles for the new system. 1. That it be of convenient size to be applied as a measure to the common money transactions of life. 2. That its parts and multiples be in an easy proportion to each other, so as to facilitate money arithmetic. 3. That the Unit and its parts, or divisions, be so nearly of the value of some known coins, as they may be of easy adoption for the people. Above was a wild guess since I am code breaker challenged and dyslexic to boot, but I missed the hint and now my guess is moot and caput!Quote: I have no personal knowledge of the quoter ever having been elected to any political office. ***** RULE CLARIFICATIONS *****
1. In order to win this contest, you must have 50 quality posts on this Forum. If your 50th post is the correct guess, it counts.
2. In order to win, the poster must correctly identify the quote AND the quoter.
GOOD LUCK!
