Nice. I'm guessing you bought it for a penny?

Shonit123, are the 1969 1$'s no island types?
Godless117 those 1955 nsf's are worth alot. I don't want to sound too negative but are you sure they aren't worn out sf's?

Godless117 Make sure you check those 1955's close. I have actually found 1 in circulation but none since. So it's possible. But rare.

Libertad thankyou, I did visit that website when I was researching the coin. at first it was thought it was a bangladesh planchet but SPP zapped it and the metal composition was wrong, along with it being too heavy. it didn't match any planchet that the RCM uses.

took another look at the 1955s all SFs with one having a die clash near the last five making its a hanging five SF, also just came across a 1962 guitar variation

Especially impressive from only 8 rolls. I haven't had this much success from a whole box of 50. Nice finds!

yeah, I was not expecting that at all. I've been on a dry streak, finding nothing in about $1000 in dimes and nickles juts before this.
here are the dates for the dimes
1942 1956 1961 1967 1968 SILVER

You guys are not mentioning anything about the 2005 no p magnetic penny. Are you checking as I did not know it exsisted until I found one searching boxes of cents. I will post a scan that is not very good but you will notice some toning that takes away from the value for sure. Just checking with you people as another member is checking out the 1932 low nickels.

I found both of these this week The 1962 was in the change drawer at work and the 1967 was in a penny donation bin that I was rolling the coins from for free on the condition that I could buy anything cool I found.

@Doctorman1941 - I now double check any 2003-2006 cents I find to look for compositions that don't match the presence/absence of the P mark. @CanadianCollector - Nice! I haven't found any legitimately noteworthy coins in change in a long time. Price of paying by plastic I guess. I happened to glance into the till at the clothing store my wife manages and spotted a little 1968 silver dime... not a huge score by any means, but still cool since it's the first bit of silver I've found in circulation for a long time!
