I'm bumping this thread along in hopes that many of us are still looking forward to a CCF dinner get-together on Wednesday after the show.
Recognizing the various agendas, lodging details and constraints of all ... I have not made any specific plans.
I suggest that we come together at the CCF booth space near the end of the show on Wednesday and find a fun and enjoyable way to extend the camaraderie into the evening.
I am personally looking forward to meeting all of you who will be there.

My dad and I might be able to make it. Our plans are to leave Wednesday around noon, and hopefully make it to the dinner. Then go to the show on Thursday and Friday.
Any ideas where we'd go?

Why don't we set a more or less definite time - when we can nail down show hours - meet, wait a few minutes for stragglers, and then head for the eating place. Chicky's and Pete's sounds just fine to me. I'll have to ride the trolley back to my b&b, so I'll have to check for late-evening trolley run times so I can plan ahead.

We at the table won't be able to get out before 6PM. Quote: Chickys and petes is just down the street good wings cold beer If you're talking about the one in South, that's still 3 miles from the venue and a half-mile walk from the nearest subway. Mind you, Chickie and Pete's is a pleasant thought - any place that has Lager on tap is a pleasant thought - but I should mention: The Phillies are not only home that night, they're playing a night game against Atlanta and it's the last chance anyone in Philly will have to see Chipper Jones in town. How often do you get to see the last visit of a first-ballot Hall of Famer? I suspect the game will be an oversubscribed sellout and anywhere in South is gonna be packed that night. I'm going to throw out another suggestion: Dave & Buster's. It's 1-1/4 mile from the Convention Center - I'd walk that - and for those of you who have never been to one, it's like....Chuck E. Cheese's for adults.

We have D & B out here Dave. My wife and I frequent it often. My wife is pulling coupons out of her entertainment guide as we speak, should we go there. Awesome suggestion. I would rather not be any where near the baseball fans although anywhere we go that night, we will inevitably bump in to a few.

The one in Franklin Mills is now a D & B. Yankee1227, I think they curfew minors at 11PM, you're good before that and if I'm not halfway back to Atlantic City at 11PM I might as well sleep at the restaurant.
