I know there is still plenty of time left for this contest, but it seems to be very lacking in interest.

I created this coin with the idea of equality in mind. Every time I searched Nicaragua online, I kept getting the same impression of their country: EQUALITY. I put Violeta Chamorro on the coin because she was the first ever democratically elected female leader in Central America (equal rights for women). I also placed Obama on the coin because he was the first elected African American president in the USA. Although they may have not been the most loved leaders, they still stood for equality. I enscribed the "En Dios COnfiamos" which translates to "In God We Trust" which is important to me but I thought it would be nice to do it in their native tongue. The idea of the triangle was every where for Nicaragua (EQUALITY). I encased it on both sides of my coin. The triangle represents both the symbol of equality and the three dramatic climate regions of Nicaragua. The geographical regions are of importance to Nicaragua because it draws a vast array of visitors to the country. It is very biologically significant (I am a Biologist ) I also made it a 12 sided coin, representing the year 1912 when the Cordoba became the national currency. Hope you enjoy it!

The national flower of Nicaragua is the Plumeria alba (common name Frangipani) Did a watercolor of this then there is the starts of a volcano/ mountain. Other side is a ship/boat as it was mentioned that it was cool with the starts of a map of Nicaragua A cute effort.

I kind of wish I'd waited to design mine. After seeing others there are so many design elements I wish I had.

Thanks for the offer but I think if I were to redesign it would just end up as a copy of someone else's.
