I put the 2010 Rotated on a par with the 2000 Incused, or 2001 rotated Federation dollar; ie. the $25 - $50 range.
I'd go to $50 tops, if I can't manage to noodle one myself...

Deano, There is no question about it... There is plenty of information confirming it right here on coincommunity (from multiple members), its been in CAB magazine and now a sale on ebay. Maybe do a bit more reading on it?

Not mine. There was one that was passed in at $250 dollar a few month ago, I wonder if it's the same seller?

A real recognised variety by who? I'd suggest that it's us collectors that do the ground work for these new things that come to light whether it be errors or varieties. I'd suggest that this discussion is recognition and proof enough and they are definately being sought after for a premium!!

There's no error authentication body in Australia so as PP says the collecting body is pretty much who has the final say on whether the error is real or not. If the majority of error collectors in this forum agree that an error is real then there's a great chance it is. I don't think there's any doubt that these rotated 50c are the real deal.
And if you're relying on Macca's to say if an error is real or not then you're kidding yourself. Greg McDonald is spoon fed his information and adds little value to anything in his catalogue.

Yeah I have learnt way more here on the forum than any book can teach you. Books just have one picture if you're lucky and a price. Here you get heaps of info for what to look for in a coin, and better descriptions, current prices of the market, and heaps of different pictures, and most of us have zoom in pics too. This site is fantastic! My entire books are obsolete, I only keep them remember the date and correct spelling of coins.

Quote: i have said it b4... a few of us should get together and publish a book... Nancy's chapter on decimal errors will run to 400 pages (pre-decimal error chapter will only be 200 pages), enworb (and fellow collaborators) will need an allocation of 100 pages for the definitive article about shed jobs, goatieman will want a decent space for his favourite notes......etc. etc. The mind boggles. No print edition please -would need a wheelbarrow to get it out of the shop. Anyway, I suspect big fella will refuse to stock it (on order only) because of the logistics. Might just aboutfit all our cumulative numismatic knowledge on a double layer Blueray DVD! Don't tell the US and Canadian members or they will want to contribute too. I volunteer NOT to be editor.I repeat,. I volunteer NOT to be editor.I look forward to seeing constructive suggestions for chapter headings arriving soon. Jeff
