They're always cool to find, and they pop up when you least expect them! Lets use this thread to help identify the historical significance of the counterstamps found or purchased, and share the ones we might own!

I will start with a simple one I have had for quite some time. Have not been able to find any information on this modern 2000 counterstamp "8".

Tell us how you found/acquired your coin, and any history you may know about it!

I doubt if it has any significance at all, anyone with a punch set could do it.

Raymo, in my OCD googling of counter stamps I've seen that one! Really cool! It's a Masonic counterstamp. The ones I've seen though look less well struck if you will. Some are even TPG certified.

I quote...
