Quote: edit: after looking at it some more looks like another Masonic CS? Really different isn't it. I thought it kind of unique. http://goccf.com/t/305098

This was the first counterstamped Lincoln Cent I ever received. When I was a kid and we bought our house in 1977 our real estate lady gave it to me. Little did she know what that kind gesture would evolve into.

Great Masonic souvenir, and looks like a cracked skull as well!

Here's a maverick counterstamp, possibly foxes, on an 1855 quarter. The two foxes may have been used to indicate someone's name, Fox. There's a Civil War token issued by Fox's Casino; perhaps, a connection?

Very nice... cool looking running foxes.
Edit: I live near an area of Chicagoland called The Fox River Valley. It's been bugging me but I know I've seen that same (or sooo similar) stamp on something. I do a lot of antiquing when the weather is nice. I'll remember. Might be three years from now, but I'll remember.

What is the appeal of damaged coins? Just curious.
