Moe . . those 11 proofs for $45K in your link would have set you back a total of $965 according to the 1962 Red Book. Not a bad return on investment.

While I was searching for my Trade dollar images, I found this one (not mine) from 1876 with a couple of chopmarks and do you see what was buried within on the reverse;

The 1876 was a good year for the bad guys. They could mix type 1&2 obverses and reverses and not raise as many flags. I have one more for this year.

All right, here's my old, beat up 1877 Trade dollar that I upgraded:   Even though I've upgraded, I've held onto this one so I can eventually give it to my son for his 7070 album.
