Great start to this thread everyone! Is poetry required to participate in this thread? I'm a computer scientist, so I didn't take many Arts & Humanities classes. I thought about visiting Tonga yesterday so I could post early, but it's a long drive from CT and the bridge toll from New Zealand is probably very expensive. 1883 No Cents 1883 With Cents

Quote: Clearly in the running for ugliest You haven't seen some of mine!! This coin type is one of the earliest ones I started collecting and my coin collecting tastes have clearly evolved from "quantity" to "quality". Some of my V nickels in my V nickel Dansco are clearly in the "fill the hole" quality!! (Example: my 1884 I post tomorrow!!)

I'm enjoying them all so far. Alas I have very few photos of my XF/AU Liberty nickel set ... and way too much time spent at work lately to take any new photos ... so I will share the few photos I do have. And ... BTW ... Happy Birthday jbuck. 1883 w/Cents Ex-PCGS AU58 (now raw in my Dansco) Truly enjoying your lovelies PG ... recall you are (were) chasing a high-grade set. David

For second time, upon this thread I looked. And saw a crime, which ol' moe has precooked.
Hath said we shall compete, for whos nickel is worse. Its time that I entreat, with a finding from a purse.
This coin is not so pretty, nor does it cling or clang. For all, its such a pitty, this coin had such a bang.
Alas, I have intrigued you all, but sadly you must wait, till a day later upon this fall, for 31st, you must wait.
:D

Ok. No verse this time. Just the goods. Maybe some poetic prose? Look, folks. Some people have the idea that coin collectors are a group of rich, stodgy old men sitting in their smoking jackets in an oak and mahogany room of a private club. But WE know have to have FUN!
