This is my favourite as it was a lucky find. I bought a shoe box full of junk which contained a little wooden pill case and inside the pill case was this tiny coin.

Constantine I as Augustus, AE Follis, Mid 310-Late 312, Group III, Class IV, London CONSTANTINVS P F AVG Laureate, cuirassed bust right COMITI-AVGG N N Sol, standing facing, radiate head left, chlamys across left shoulder, globe in right hand, whip in left * in right field PLN in exergue 21mm x 23mm, 4.24g RIC VI, 153 (C2) Extra: Found in a field near Wimbledon

So, post-1707 means Great Britain? When I hear "modern" in this context, I think of milled coins; medieval=hammered, post-Roman.
