Nice color on the rev of that '99, how much did it cost raw? And where do ya find such excellently toned raw coins?

Quote: Bought this coin raw last month [ or so...] and sent it to PCGS - where it came back in an AU 55 holder....
Last week, I sent it to CAC with a few others - this crossed with a Green Bean.
This Nickel also is coming back to me with a Green Bean too: Excellent!

DualBrain...All in - I'm at around $150 for the 1899 - Phila in PCGS 55.... Certifying coins [ as you know ] isn't a cheap proposition ! .................................................. I just posted this to your Thread .... here's another nicely toned Dime: PCGS MS 63 - CAC - which goes to the Photographer once I get it in hand.

Another Dansco 7130 hole filled! Not bad for $5, you can still see "TY" from LIBERTY.

I upgraded my 1900-S Dime in PCGS 55 with this MS 63 - and it actually cost a lot less than the 55... Of course, the 55 is much more attractively toned... My PCGS - AU 55:

I guess it must be the colour, but I do like the 55 better. However, for the price I would not complain about this upgrade.

I think you are right. I was speculating that the photos were a little flat, hiding that 63's true beauty.
